Confidence and Self-Esteem

If you struggle with feeling self-confident it can be very hard to change this on your own. Feeling bad about yourself, finding it hard to talk to others, struggling to see your positive qualities and avoiding situations where you might not succeed are all indicators of low self-esteem. Feeling this way could also lead you to treat yourself poorly, perhaps abusing drugs or alcohol or making poor lifestyle choices, or it could mean that you allow others to mistreat you as you don’t believe you ‘deserve’ anything better. This can be a very dangerous cycle and a difficult one to break out of, but it is important to seek help if you feel like you might be experiencing some of these issues.
