This letter confirms that you are studying at the University of Lincoln. It includes the name of your course, the start and end dates of your course and your home and term time addresses.
To request a Certificate of Study please submit an online request form through your OneUni account by selecting Taught Student Role, and Forms. Then click ‘Fill Out’ on the Self-Service Letters form. Your letter will then be emailed to your Student and Personal email addresses and can also be viewed under ‘Interactions’ on OneUni.
Please ensure your Permanent Home and Term Time addresses are correct on your OneUni account as these are the addresses which will show on your letter(s). You can amend your details yourself by logging onto OneUni and look for the ‘My Details’ section of the ‘Taught Student Role’ tab on your home page. You can then update your current addresses or add any which are missing.
Students at the University of Lincoln who are studying on a Full Time basis are exempt from paying Council Tax. You may be asked by your landlord to provide a letter confirming you are exempt.
To request a Council Tax letter please submit an online request form through your OneUni account by selecting Taught Student Role, and Forms. Then click ‘Fill Out’ on the Self-Service Letters form. Your letter will then be emailed to your Student and Personal email addresses and can also be viewed under ‘Interactions’ on OneUni.

This letter is mainly for International students who have completed their course. Home students can also request this letter if required. The letter confirms that you have studied at the University of Lincoln. It includes the name of your course, the start and end dates of your course and your home and term time addresses.
For International students there will also be a paragraph on the letter which will state;
I can confirm the student completed their on (insert date). Students holding a Student Visa who have been given permission to work and have completed their studies are able to work full time until the expiry date on their Student Visa.
To request an Invitation Letter please submit a Student Support Letter Request through the ‘Support’ tab of your OneUni account. These letters are then processed by our team and will be sent to your ‘Preferred’ email address. Please allow 10 working days for an Invitation letter to be processed and sent to you.
When you open a student bank account in the UK the bank may ask you to show proof that you are a student at the University of Lincoln.
To request a Bank letter please submit a Student Support Letter Request through the ‘Support’ tab of your OneUni account. These letters are then processed by our team and will be sent to your ‘Preferred’ email address. Please allow 10 working days for a Bank letter to be processed and sent to you.
Please remember to include the name of your bank on the form.
If you are travelling out of the UK you may need a Certificate of Study to apply for a travel visa for the country you are visiting or to show the Border Officers when you return to the UK.

This letter is for when a student would like to invite a friend or family member to attend their graduation and they need it to include with their application for a travel visa. Please include the full names of the people you are inviting.
To request a Graduation Invitation Letter please submit a Student Support Letter Request through the ‘Support’ tab of your OneUni account. These letters are then processed by our team and will be sent to your ‘Preferred’ email address. Please allow 10 working days for an Graduation Invitation letter to be processed and sent to you.

To edit your addresses, please log onto your OneUni account and make amendments as necessary in the ‘My Details’ section. You can then re-request the letters that you require.
If you have any problems updating your personal details on OneUni, please contact studentsupport@lincoln.ac.uk .
If the end date on your letter is not correct, please contact studentsupport@lincoln.ac.uk .
The full list of letters we produce is on the Student Support Letter Request form. We are only able to produce letters for current students and alumni.
Please do not request a letter before you are enrolled as this will not be processed.
Some of our letters can only be processed after certain deadlines:
Students can request a Completion of Studies letter once their timetabled sessions are complete, and all assessments have been submitted.
Students can request a Confirmation of Award letter once they have received their results letter.
Students can request Graduation Invitation letters for themselves and guests, once they have received their official graduation invitation. These letters are often used as part of an application for a travel visa. Please include the full names of the people you are inviting on the form, as is stated on their passport.

Once you have received your Certificate of Study, please give this to your employer along with a copy of the Student Working Hours information.

If you are applying for a Schengen Visa and require a letter confirming your student status, please request a Travel Letter (Embassy Letter). In the text box provided on the form, please state the name of the first country you intend to visit.
You can request a transcript on your OneUni account using the Student Support Letter Request form, under the ‘Support’ tab.
On the form there is an ‘Other’ option where you can write ‘Transcript’.
