Student Wellbeing Centre First Contact

Are you feeling overwhelmed, upset, or just need someone to talk to? The Student Wellbeing team is here for you—right when you need it most!

Drop-In Support Is Now Easier Than Ever:

  • If you’re having a tough day, simply drop by and our friendly First Contact Team will be ready to help. You might need to wait just a few minutes, but support is always close at hand!
  • Need to talk today? You can be booked in for a First Contact Appointment on the same day if slots are available and it’s appropriate for your needs. These appointments are usually between 11am and 3pm.
  • Prefer instant support? You can access in-the-moment counselling from Health Assured—just call or use their app!

Flexible Appointment Options:

  • First Contact Appointments can be booked in advance, with both daytime and evening slots available.
  • Some appointments are reserved for same-day booking—starting at 8:30am, it’s first come, first served!
  • If today’s appointments are full, don’t worry! We’ll book you in for the next available slot within five days, or offer a quick five-minute chat with our team. Plus, we’ll signpost you to Health Assured for interim support if needed.

Easy Booking—No Hassle:

  • Our admin team can book appointments for you, whether you request one or they spot a need. You’re encouraged to complete the contact form, but it’s not required unless you haven’t registered with us before (we’ll explain why it’s important for GDPR).
  • If you don’t fill out a form, our team will make a note of what you’d like to discuss—so your needs are always heard.
