
Worried about someone
If you are worried about a friend or a loved one who is a student of the University of Lincoln, please consider contacting the Student Wellbeing Centre to pass over any important information. The Student Wellbeing Centre will not be able to confirm if the student is known to them or not due to GDPR unless parental consent is in place, however the staff are always grateful to listen to any important or helpful information you may have and will act on this accordingly.
A night time Mental Health and Wellbeing Advisor from Student Wellbeing may be available to discuss your concerns. Please contact Security services who will be able to make a referral to them (subject to availability). Tel 01522 886062
If you have concerns for the immediate safety of a student, please contact the emergency services on 999. If the Student Wellbeing Centre is closed, then the following information may be helpful:
- Ring your GP and ask for an emergency appointment
- Call the Samaritans on 01522 528282 (Lincoln Branch) or 116 123 (National number), or email them on jo@samaritans.org
- Go to A&E at Lincoln County Hospital
- Call 111 (health concerns), 101 (Police) or, if the situation is critical or life threatening, call 999
- Call NHS Single Point of Access on 0303 123 4000
- Text ‘THEMIX’ to 85258 (under 25’s only) – Essential support for under 25s
