Living in the Community

Student Services - Lincoln Uni 8-10-15 0437

The University expects all our students who are living in the community to behave in a considerate and respectful way towards their neighbours, both when living in properties in the area and when out and about in the City of Lincoln.

The University works in partnership with the Students’ Union, the City of Lincoln Council Public Protection & Anti-Social Behaviour Team and Lincolnshire Police to deal with noise related issues and anti-social behaviour, and any further complaints received are dealt with in line with the joint protocol.

This may result in students being referred for disciplinary action under the University Regulations.

Please view this video about living in the community here.

You can also read a blog post about moving into the community and find out more about people who live the community from the University of Lincoln  Meet the Neighbours series.

If you would like to discuss this further or need any advice about living in the community, please get in touch with us.

Find out when the council will empty your bins and which bins are used for your recycling.

Your neighbours will be able to help you and will be pleased you are keen to keep the street clean and tidy, as well as being environmentally friendly.

The University of Lincoln works closely with Lincolnshire Police and the City of Lincoln Council to support our students who live within the city. We have a dedicated Police Officer who works within the Student Services, helping students to feel safe and dealing with issues as they arise.

If you have concerns or questions about living in the community or would like to speak with the Police Officer, please contact the Student Support Centre who will be happy to help.

Please find our Lincoln Living leaflet here for more information.
