Looking after your mental wellbeing

Your wellbeing is important, the University has several resources for helping you keep well both physically and mentally.

Being a student is hard work – you may have deadlines to meet, exams to revise for and mountains of books to read (not to mention those dreaded 9am lectures to attend). As well as all of this, students are often trying to balance studies social demands and general chores. Therefore remembering to look after your health and wellbeing can easily be a forgotten task.

If you are not taking the time to look after your health and wellbeing, you may begin to notice differences in your energy levels, your ability to concentrate, your memory and your overall emotional resilience (i.e. everyday things may feel harder than normal to manage).

It is therefore essential that throughout your time here at the University of Lincoln, you learn to develop healthy strategies that will have a positive impact on both your physical and mental health. Looking after yourself doesn’t have to be hard work, it is about making small positive changes in your daily routine that will overtime have huge beneficial impacts.

Student Wellbeing Drop-in Times:

  • Monday – Friday between 12-2pm
  • Thursday evenings (during term-time only) between 5-7pm
