Student Services

To request a bank letter, please log-in to your One Uni account and select the ‘support’ tab and ‘student support letter requests’. On the form there is an option for a ‘bank letter’.  Please include the name of the Bank you would like the letter for, and check that your term-time and home addresses are also correct on One Uni. Letter requests can only be processed after students have fully enrolled on their course.

Here are a few banking terms and their definitions to help you:

• ID – Identity
• Cash Card – allows you to access your money 24 hours a day using a cashpoint
• Debit Card – allows you to withdraw cash from your account as well as use your card to pay in shops, restaurants and online
• Standing Order – an instruction by a bank’s customer to the bank, to pay an amount of money regularly to another account (for example, you may be asked to set up a standing order to pay your rent)
• Direct Debit – a payment arranged by the organisation which leaves the account with the express agreement of the account holder
• Automated Credit Transfer – a direct payment into your bank account, instead of by cash or cheque
• Overdraft – an agreed extension of credit when your account reaches zero

A support service for students and staff of all faiths and none.

The Chaplaincy service is committed to working with students and staff of different faiths and none; and making the University a place of religious tolerance and respect.

The Chaplain is here to support you, no matter what your background or faith and will support you in your journey of faith, your practice of your own faith, or your exploration of faith. You can come and pray, meditate or talk things over with the Chaplain, regardless of your religion.

The service provides a multicultural and supportive environment, so whoever you are and wherever you are from, you will always be welcome.

For international students, the Chaplain offers a special welcome which includes a programme of visits to places of interest.
